Zaenuddin Hudi Prasojo is a professor of religious and cross-cultural studies and the Editor-In-Chief of Al-Albab Borneo Journal of Religious Studies at the Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Pontianak. In his earlier academic endeavor, he went to Asia Research Institute (ARI) of National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2009 after graduating from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia for his Fulbright scholarship tenure. He was persuing a PhD at Gadjah Mada University when receiving his Asia Graduate Fellowship at NUS. As his academic networking grows, after completing the graduate fellowship in Singapore he continued doing “academic tour” in Europe. He went to Oxford University in 2011 for his first academic tour in Europe for a Visiting Research Fellow. Through Oxford Center for Islamic Studies, The University of Oxford granted him a Research Fellowship for staying in Oxford doing research and academic networking as well as developing social theory expertise. During his time in Oxford he published several journal articles including the one published by Oxford Journal of Islamic Studies. Upon returning from Europe, Professor Prasojo continued working at his work place and soon appointed as Vice Rector at the Pontianak State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN Pontianak) in 2014. He is currently involved in a research project with Professor Janice Lee at the Asian School of Environment of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) under the Academic Research Fund. And now Prof Prasojo is holding his new position as the Director of the Graduate School at the University of IAIN Pontianak.
